Welcome to The C.O.D. Report

Cranky, opinionated, and passionate about the facts.

The C.O.D. Report is an independent publication examining politics, government, economics, public policy, and claims circulating online from a constitutional-conservative perspective—with evidence taking priority over team loyalty.

I’ve been around long enough to remember when the evening news was thirty minutes, phones were attached to walls, and disagreeing with somebody didn’t require declaring them an enemy of civilization.

Now we have 24-hour news, social media, politicians, pundits, influencers, algorithms—and your cousin on Facebook—all competing to tell us what we’re supposed to believe.

The C.O.D. Report exists because I got tired of it.

This is an old man’s look at politics, government, economics, public policy, and the claims bouncing around the internet. I approach those subjects from a constitutional conservative perspective, but that doesn’t mean the facts are required to cooperate with me.

When the evidence supports my assumptions, I’ll tell you. When it doesn’t, I’ll tell you that too. Whenever possible, I’ll show you the original sources so you can check my work and decide for yourself.

I don’t pretend to be unbiased. I promise to be honest about my bias—and not let it substitute for evidence.

So pull up a chair, grab some coffee, and welcome to the Pond.

You don’t have to agree with the old man. Just do your own research before deciding he’s wrong.
